Payroll & Accounts Officer

The Role:

An exciting opportunity has a risen for an experienced Payroll /Accounts Officer to join our team. In this newly created role your responsibilities will include administering the payroll and accounts needs of many of our business services clients. On a day to day basis you will:

  • Process various sized payrolls from end to end, across a range of different clients within different industries
  • Update and maintain payroll and accounts records
  • Lodge superannuation and tax
  • Complete employment variations and requests such as new hires and terminations
  • Completed AP and AR tasks for clients
  • Liaise with clients and internal client managers re payroll and accounts queries; and
  • Much more!

The ideal candidate will have payroll and bookkeeping experience.  A Certificate or Diploma in Bookkeeping will be highly regarded.

About You:

To be successful within this role you will have:

  • Previous experience in a payroll processing or bookkeeping role. Experience processing multiple payrolls will be highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of all aspects of payroll including leave, awards, termination, employee set up, superannuation, payroll tax and PAGY withholding tax and WorkCover.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities;
  • Experience across one or more software platforms such as MYOB, Xero and Quickbooks;
  • Accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Ability to work autonomously; and
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
