How we go above and beyond as Financial Advisors!

As discussed in our previous article “What Is Important To You, Is Paramount To Us!”, Accru Wealth Management pride ourselves on delivering tailored, holistic advice to our clients, ensuring that their individual objectives are met and financial position considered.

Not only is it critical to us that we provide comprehensive, relevant initial advice, but we also believe it is just as important to regularly review our advice to ensure that it remains applicable as your circumstances develop and change over time. We have therefore ingrained a number of processes into our business that ensures we are continuously keeping your best interest at the forefront of our service and communicating with you as your circumstances change.

Ongoing Review

We find the most successful way of staying up to date with your overall position is by having regular catch ups or, as we like to refer to them, ‘Portfolio Reviews’. Depending on your location and availability, these are often conducted as meetings in our office or your residence or teleconferences, which are especially relevant for our interstate clients. During these meetings we are able to not only continue to build a strong relationship with clients but it also provides an effective platform to discuss any changes that may have arisen in the client’s circumstances. This leads us to review our advice and talk through potential strategies that may be a better fit to your new situation or confirm that our previous recommendations remain relevant.

Accessibility

We also like our clients to be comfortable in using us as a first point of contact should any financial pain point become apparent. We make sure we achieve this by ensuring clients are aware that we are always available to be contacted, no matter how small or large the problem may be. This gives our clients piece of mind knowing that when unforeseeable situations surface, we are only a quick phone call, email or meeting away from being able to offer support, guidance and advice.

Competency

The Accru Wealth Management team are committed to being ahead of the curve in regards to education requirements to ensure they can offer you relevant and comprehensive advice. They do this by attending various education events held by external providers as well as hosting internal training sessions to ensure all staff are across any new information or legislation that can impact their clients.

Regular investment committee meetings are held to discuss the appropriateness of current investments and products we are recommending to clients and alternative options are discussed to ensure that we are in a position to provide a tailored advice to all clients’ varying situations and objectives. A recent example of this has been developing an ethical investment model which enables us to provide educated advice to those who wish to align their investment portfolios to their own ethical values.

Client Education

Another way we go above and beyond is by hosting a wide variety of events for our clients and by providing various informative sessions. As an example, guest speakers from institutions such as Magellan Financial Group (a well-respected global fund manager) have given topical presentations to our clients as well representatives from ASX listed company, Amcor Limited and our upcoming post Budget morning tea with a presenter from Macquarie Bank. In addition, we keep our clients up to date on all the current issues by sending monthly informative emails through the ‘Accru Express’. These measures give clients the opportunity to further educate themselves and immerse themselves in building an understanding or the financial world that they are investing in and exposed to.
