Management Accountant – Business Advisory Services

The Role:

As a Management Accountant, you’ll be a key member of our Advisory team, working closely with a diverse client base and supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of our finance function. Your work will be instrumental in assisting clients through timely, accurate, and meaningful service. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Assisting our Clients:

  • Drafting month-end management reports
  • Monthly reconciliation of accounts
  • Reviewing journal entries, GL, BAS, and payroll preparation
  • Proactively liaising with clients to ensure deadlines are met and critical business tasks are completed
  • Timely billing, invoicing and WIP management
  • Daily managing and filing of accounts inboxes

Assisting our Internal Advisory Team:

  • Supporting day-to-day operations and collaborating with the team
  • Monitoring team task progress to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
  • Attending client and internal meetings to take notes and share key actions
  • Assisting in the preparation of new client proposals
  • Sourcing and distributing key information for clients and the team
  • Providing support and coverage for team members during absences by understanding key responsibilities
  • Proactively identifying process improvement opportunities and communicating them to senior staff

Key Requirements:

  • Completion or near-completion of a Business or Commerce degree (necessary)
  • Basic understanding of accounting and business processes
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask
  • A commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement
  • Beginner in Office 365; Knowledge of Accounting software (MYOB, Xero, Spotlight Reporting) is a plus
