
I joined Accru in January 2020 as an Administrative Assistant in the BAS team, following a career in education where I was a Primary School teacher for four years. After completing my Bachelor of Education, I found myself seeking a new challenge, and Accru offered the perfect opportunity to pivot into a dynamic and supportive professional environment.
Since joining, I’ve progressed to the role of Client Services Supervisor within the BAS team. My responsibilities include overseeing, training, and mentoring our BAS administration team, coordinating workflow scheduling, and serving as the go-to person for a wide range of administrative tasks.
What I enjoy most about my role is the variety of people I collaborate with daily. I regularly liaise with the Audit and Wealth Management teams to ensure our clients receive a seamless experience across all service areas. No two days are the same. Whether I’m collating client returns or setting up new companies, there’s always something new to learn and contribute.
Accru has also supported my growth in IT, allowing me to lead the transition to cloud-based software and contribute as a member of both the IT Steering Committee and the Accru National IT team. One of Accru’s core values is “We create opportunities,” and I’ve been fortunate to experience this firsthand. These opportunities have deepened my understanding of how the firm operates and how we can better serve our clients through thoughtful technology implementation.
Beyond my day-to-day responsibilities, I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to strategic initiatives that shape how our division operates. I’ve been involved in refining BAS admin procedures, enhancing workflow management, and supporting broader business planning efforts. These experiences have allowed me to influence operational improvements and contribute meaningfully to Accru’s long-term goals.
The culture at Accru is the most positive I’ve ever worked in. The team is welcoming, collaborative, and genuinely enjoyable to work with. My role allows me to connect across all divisions, helping to foster the ‘one firm approach’ that Accru is known for. I also love contributing to the planning of social events and firm-wide celebrations, which bring our teams together to recognise and celebrate success. These moments of connection and camaraderie are a true highlight of working at Accru.
