What first drew me to Accru was the professional opportunity and variety. At the time, the firm offered a hybrid program that gave me exposure to different areas of the business—something that, as a university student unsure of the many possible career paths in accounting, was invaluable. That early experience not only expanded my skills but also helped me find my passion in audit.
Over the years, I’ve worked with a diverse client base, particularly not-for-profit organisations in the independent school sector, as well as numerous foreign subsidiary clients. I’m known for building strong client relationships, clear communication, and taking an analytical approach to complex accounting areas.
Two moments in my career so far stand out as highlights: being offered a full-time position after completing my internship, and later being promoted to Intermediate Accountant—a milestone that reflected my growth and development within the firm.
For me, the best part of working at Accru is the team culture. I get to work alongside fantastic people every day, in an environment that’s both supportive and enjoyable. That positive energy makes a real difference in how much I look forward to coming to work.
Outside the office, weekends often find me catching up with friends at a local venue, heading to the rugby or the footy, or experimenting in the kitchen as a fledgling home cook (a definite work in progress!).
